Cool Cobham

Pop into Cobham for a free taster of some delicious ice cream next week!

 

The team at Cobham love the new Gelato and Ice Cream Maker from Cuisinart. It is super easy to  use - you can make delicious desserts in just 30 minutes. There is no need to pre freeze a bowl and you can add extra ingredients while it’s churning - Cobham used some juicy strawberries in theirs! After it has completed its cycle this fabulous new machine will keep the ice cream cool for 10 minutes. The machine comes with two paddles a lid and removable bowl making it easy to clean.

 

 

 

Cobham’s favourite vanilla ice cream recipe from our friends at Cuisinart.

This makes 1.5 litres of ice cream.

Ingredients.

220ml Full Fat Milk

150g Granulated Sugar

450ml Double Cream

1 Tsp Vanilla Bean Paste or Vanilla Extract.

 

1.Pour the milk into a medium bowl and whisk until the sugar has dissolved.

2.Stir the cream and vanilla into the mixture, cover and if the time allows refrigerate for 2 hours or preferably overnight.

3. With the ice cream paddle fitted, whisk the mixture and pour into the ice-cream bowl. Cover with lid.

4. Turn the ice cream make on. Set the timer for 40-50 minutes. To produce a firmer ice cream churn the ice cream for longer.

5. Eat and enjoy! You can store in an air tight container (if you have any left!)
